Melora Griffis is a multidisciplinary artist. She primarily makes paintings, drawings, and objects which periodically include fibre aspects. She utilizes writing, performance, and video to expand on a theme. Personalized, spiritualized, energized—cave like forms hold and hide information. Darkness surrounds portals of light. A theatre in the round, humor and drama coexist at the edge of night, the break of day, and in the conundrum that lies between..

The curator, Brian Fernandes-Halloran, for the upstairs space, brings us an anonymous artist. This artist used a relatively new technology to separate himself from the world. The works from his 2019 lunar residency offer insights to his trans-formative experience abroad.

A brief note was found in the artist's abandoned suit. “all things pull each other closer by the very force within our mass. The nature of undirected gravity offers a solution to the living planet as it acts among us.

Materials: an IPhone and 87 seconds of tristate area trash.

See a Video of the process here.
